The 9th Annual Brush Creek Art Walk is a three-day outdoor (plein air) painting competition located along the walkways and banks of Brush Creek stretching from the Country Club Plaza east to Elmwood Ave. Three Quick Paint events are scheduled throughout the weekend to provide an opportunity to see the artists in action at the same time and in one general location. One artist will receive a $500 purchase award at each Quick Paint .
QUICK PAINT COMPETITIONS
Friday, Sept. 18: 7-10 p.m. “Nocturne on the Plaza” in Mill Creek Park
Saturday, Sept. 19: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. “Monarch Day at the Discovery Center” 4750 Troost
Sunday, Sept. 20: 5-8 p.m. “Sunset Paint at Brush Creek Community Center” 3801 Brush Creek Blvd.
EXHIBITION: The juried works will be on exhibit and for sale at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave. starting October 6. The show will move to Alaris Mitigation, 1604 Locust in November and then on to Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main on view by appointment only during December.
