On July 17, City officials celebrated the dedication of the Trolley Trail Bike and Pet Oasis located on the trail next to the newly remodeled HJ Youth & Community Center in Brookside. Bicyclists and pets also attended to be among the first to try out the amenities at the Oasis.
The project is a public/private partnership between the KCATA, City of Kansas City, MO, and St Andrews outreach ministry of HJ’s Youth & Community Center. The bike repair station is the second to be funded along a 6th district trail in South Kansas City and an effort to support bike user-ship in the region. The first repair station was installed at the Trailside Center at 99th & Holmes, a trailhead/parking lot for the Indian Creek Trail, in the heart of the historic 3-Trails Corridor.
