{NEWS} Two KC Parks Pools Open Today with Limited Capacity

The Kansas City, MO Parks and Recreation Department announces that two public pools will be opening for recreational swimming beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020. The Gorman Pool, 1101 NE 47th Street, and Grove Pool,Truman Road and Benton Boulevard, will open today at Noon.

Both pools will be open seven days a week and offer three two-hour sessions daily. The admission fee is $3/per session.

Sessions will be as follows: Noon – 2 p.m., 2:30-4:30 p.m., and 5-7 p.m. Admittance will be first-come first-serve and will be limited to 60 persons per session at the Grove Pool and 100 persons per session at the Gorman Pool. Limited admittance is to ensure social distancing. There will be no re-entry if patrons leave during the session.

The facilities will be sanitized before each session. Patrons will be required to wear a mask when not swimming in the pool. Facility pool furniture will not be available, patrons can bring their own.
