Jazz Musicians from Germany to Perform at Historic Jazz District

The Hannover Committee of the Sister City Association of Kansas City is excited to announce Jazz musicians from Sister City Hannover, Germany will have two public performances with local KC Jazz musicians.

Thursday, October 10th at 7 p.m. at Greenwood Social Hall, 1750 Belleview Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri. www.greenwoodsocialhall.com

Saturday, October 12th at 5:15 p.m. at Soiree Steak & Oyster House, 1512 East 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, in the Historic Jazz District.

The musicians from Hannover, Germany are:
Lothar Krist-Clarinet and Saxophone
Dirk van der Linden-Guitar
Andy Mokrus-Piano

Local KC Jazz musicians are:
Greg Carroll-Vibes and Percussion
Ben Tervort-Bass
Matt Leifer -Drums

The theme for this year’s Sister City Exchange Program is Tribute to Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton

During their visit, the musicians from Germany will tour UMKC Campus, have an educational clinic at Paseo Academy and attend Kansas City Jazz Orchestra Concert at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.Ge
