At the May 21 meeting of the KC Parks Board, Steve Hudson with McKee Foods presented a check in the amount of $20,000 for the inclusive playground in Hospital Hill Park.
McKee Foods Corporation, through the OH! The Outdoor Happiness Movement, awarded the funds to KC Parks for the renovation of the Sybil Silkwood Nutter Playground in Hospital Hill Park. This project will renovate the existing playground into an inclusive playground for the community and the families at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
KC Parks was the only agency selected for the McKee Grant for the State of Missouri. McKee, a family-run company based out of Tennessee, administers the OH! The Outdoor Happiness Movement, which provides funding to support 50 projects in 50 states that promote active outdoor lifestyles.
