Walktober 2021: Rockhurst University

Walk, ride or run a different trail every Sunday in October! The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! Dogs on leashes are welcome. Commemorative Walktober buttons, designed by artist Kevin Worley, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all five events and collect all five designs!

Time: 10 a.m.-Noon, Free
Location: Rockhurst University, 1100 Rockhurst Rd.
Check-in: Circle Drive near Arrupe Hall (by 54th & Troost entrance)
Parking: Free parking on campus in the Brown Lot in front of Arrupe Hall.
Guided Tours: 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (first-come, first served until capacity)

Symphony Concert: Noon (FREE outdoor Mobile Music Box concert featuring KC Symphony musicians performing light classics and a few surprises.)
WALKTOBER PRE-REGISTRATION>> Recommended but not required.

Current university students will walk you around the park-like beautiful Rockhurst University campus to show you new additions to our campus community and other features around the quad and perimeter. On this tour, you will see academic buildings and student spaces and learn more about the history of Rockhurst University! Tours depart from the check-in table (on the circle drive near Arrupe Hall) at 11 and 11:30 a.m. Space is limited and tours are first come, first served until capacity reached. Rockhurst University is adjacent to The Paseo. You can extend your tour by walking or riding along this beautiful and historic KC Parks boulevard.  Rockhurst University Campus Map>>
