The Maplewoods Parkway project upgraded the segment of North Woodland Avenue between NE 96th Street and Anne Garney Park to a two-lane parkway. The roadway will initially be reconstructed with one through lane in each direction separated by a raised green median and will include provisions for widening to two lanes in each direction as traffic volumes increase. Improvements include:
- A 6-foot sidewalk on the east side
- A 10-foot multi-use trail on the west side
- New enclosed storm drainage system
- New curb and gutter
- New street lighting
- Roundabouts at major intersections
- Public Art Installation, Dream Swept
This project was funded with federal STP grant, GO Bond, Shoal Creek TIF, and PIAC funds from Council District 1 and Council District 2. More>>
