CAPT Marcus served on the Coast Guard Cutter Planetree during two deployments to Vietnam where his unit provided combat support activities that were carried out in support of the war efforts. CAPT Marcus served two years on the Coast Guard Cutter Planetree and his ship made three Western Pacific deployments to numerous Pacific Islands and Asian Countries in addition to Vietnam.
