General Usage Permits: Nothing may be sold on park/boulevard property

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit to schedule an event/wedding in KC Parks. The $50 deposit will be applied to the total permit fee.

Micro Events
Events of less than 50 people in which no rental or electrical equipment are being brought on the property. (Ex. Candlelight vigils, small rallies, small ceremonies)
Time permit: Up to 2 hours on same day $80.00

Small Events
Events of less than 250 people in which no large rental or large electrical equipment are being brought on the property. (Ex: reunions, weddings, small corporate events)
Time permit: Up to 5 hours on same day $175.00

Medium Size Events/Small Fundraisers
Events of less than 500 people where some rental or electrical equipment may be brought on the property. Fundraisers include all non-profit (501c3) events soliciting donations or registrations. (Ex. Runs, walks, corporate events)
Time permit: Up to 12 hours on same day $375.00 ($100.00 for each additional day of set up or tear down)

Large Scale Events/Small Fundraisers
Events of 500 people or more where large rental or electrical equipment may be brought on the property. Fundraisers include all non-profit (501c3) events, soliciting donations or registrations.
Time permit: Up to 12 hours on same day $700.00 ($100.00 for each additional day of set up or tear down)

Board Approved Agreements: Specific Park/Boulevard Usage

Sales on Public Property
This includes any free event where items are being sold on public property to the general public. This type of event needs to be approved by the Board of Parks and Recreation and have a Use and Concession Contract. (Ex: The sale of food or drink, arts and crafts, booth space, etc)
$900.00 each day of sales ($100.00 for each additional day of set up or tear down)

Large Events & Private Parties
This includes all events where rental or electrical equipment is brought onto property and where access to the property is closed and/or a ticket may be required. This level of event needs to be approved by the Board of Parks and Recreation and have a Use and Concession Contract. (Ex: Festivals, Concerts, Black Tie Events, etc.)
$5,000 per event day ($100.00 for each additional day of set up or tear down)
