Heartland HEMA is one of the top HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) schools in the Country. Heartland HEMA specializes in instructing students of all levels and physical ability in the use of a variety of renaissance and medieval weaponry. Heartland HEMA is a living school, meaning Heartland HEMA follows a tradition of technic and style passed down from master to student, reaching back hundreds of years.
Heartland HEMA teachers the rt of the sword as it would have been taught and practiced historically in Europe. The tradition Heartland HEMA follows in mainly Italian based. There is also a heavy influence from Scotland and the British Isles. Heartland primarily focuses on the study of rapier, smallsword, longsword, basket-hilted board/ backsword, and saber.
